We love style, art, design and function. Do you? Just thinking that maybe those little old fashioned readers don’t look as sexy as you think. lookie lous® are just weird. We love weird too, especially because it solves a problem.

Veterans of fashion and design, company founders Kelly and Kristie met 25 years ago while working in the Los Angeles garment district. Shortly after turning 40, they discovered that small print and misplaced reading glasses were becoming increasingly common nuisances for the both of them. Kelly remembered she had been wearing her daughter’s plastic hairband and kept mistaking it on her head for her readers… and the idea was born! lookie lous®  were literally developed in Kelly’s house. Prototypes were heated in her oven with late night Skype calls to Kristie at her dining room table. A breath of fresh innovation for a staid segment of the optics industry, lookie lous® are transparent, flexible, lightweight hairbands that rest on the head.
